About the Technoguild

Hi there, you might know me already from a few brief updates I did back on my stint as part of the Concept Mobius team, but I figure I might as well re-introduce myself. My name is Spark, and I'll now be providing updates to this site instead! I like to consider myself a friendly guy so if you have any questions feel free to ask!

And so we continue to the site updates, concerning the radio station, weekly events, and more!

=Weekly Events=

As many of you might have noticed, our weekly OC sessions have been sporadic as of late and have not really been as weekly as you may have all remembered. The problem is that a lot of us haven't had a lot of time to host them all! That is where I'm going to extend an offer here for any active member of the Technoguild that feels they would be able to handle the responsibility of hosting a weekly Open Canvas session to please drop me a line on the forums. I'd relay the word over to Chemb0t of course, but we'd really like to get the OC sessions up and going once again sometime soon!

If not then we've got the Technoguild Paintchat that can suffice for the time being!

There will also be more events in the coming months, as the staff is currently trying to get some ideas going on what would increase some member activity, plus provide fun for current members! If you have any ideas on what you would like to see, feel free to contact the staff via the forums! We're definitely open for any ideas that you guys might have.

=Technoguild Deviantart Satellite Site=

In order to further cement some involvement with the community, we have now opened up a Technoguild related Deviantart website. You can find it here =]. The Technoguild Deviantart satellite will have journal entries on it that will be pretty much reflections of the site updates we post on the main-site, but it also has to involve the community right? Any artwork you guys create that relates to the Technoguild will most likely be added into the favourites among other things! Who knows, maybe DA contests could occur.

Right now we are still deciding on how it is to be run, but we'll have more information for you as things get organized further.


=Technoguild Trading Card Game=


Unlike our MMO project announced last week which was a big huge fat April Fools Joke, this one is definitely for real. Headed up by Headshot (see what I did there?), this will be a trading card game based on the character types and locations of the Technoguild Universe.

There isn't too much to say about this as of yet, but they are looking for some help. Currently they are only looking for a graphic designer to help design the template of the cards and possibly create card images. Down the road there will be more positions available, and they might need another writer to help out as well.

Eventually there will be coding spots available, so things can be coded into a program that will be playable by members of the Technoguild!

=Technoguild Radio=

Radio A couple updates back we had mentioned that the Technoguild now had a radio service! Well, we've got a whole bunch of shows now that are making their way onto the service for you all to listen to, so you have something else there other than our 24 hour stream 'Technological Transpondence'!

A couple of these shows are being hosted by normal members of the Technoguild, just like you perhaps! So if you have an idea for a radio show do not hesitate to pitch it on the forums.

So without further ado, here are some of the shows that will be making their rounds coming up very shortly. We'll have more on the exact first broadcast dates for each of these shows, but here is a rundown of them anyway so you know what to expect ahead of time. If I have perhaps made a mistake in any of these, please leave me a PM on the forums (or even here in the comments box) and I will fix them up ASAP!

Shows on schedule for this weekend are Manny's and Darkspeeds' shows. They are on track to broadcast this weekend -and- the following weekend. Be sure to tune in and support the TG DJs.


Show: Topsecret Corner
Host: Topsecret
When: Saturdays
Times: 6pm Central Time, 11pm GMT
What is it about?: The show is divided into two parts, with a quarter of the hour being dedicated to Christian songs, and another quarter of an hour being dedicated to Alternative Rock. There are many little segments that will keep listeners entertained such as a weekly science update, trivia, interviews, and jokes! If you have any ideas for the show feel free to PM Topsecret as he is looking for more ideas.

Quick note: Topsecret Corner might not be broadcasting this weekend due to an unexpected trip that Topsecret is going on due to his parents. We will update on when this shows first broadcast will be!

Show: Visions
Host: Manny89
When: Fridays
Times: 9pm Central Time, 2am GMT
What is it about?: In the words of its host, it is a one hour and thirty minute mind trip through the best of dream related music. The music played in here will be progressive and uplifting trance music, club music, and ambient chillout music!


Show: DJ Darkspeeds
Host: *darkspeeds
When (and times): West Coast USA (5am, Saturday), East Coast USA (8am, Saturday), UK (1pm, Saturday), Europe (2pm, Saturday), Australia (10pm, Saturday)
What is it about?: From his journal on Deviantart I can gather that the usual routine here will be that Darkspeeds will play music for you all as well as talk to listeners in the chat room. However, I can tell you that he is going to do a special show in celebration of his 24th birthday on April 18! You don't want to miss this one, he'll be talking about all the things that influenced his art, as well as The Grand Ashworth Fortune and answer any questions regarding it, Sonic, animation, or any of the other cool things this guy does! So remember, you don't want to miss out on April 18!

Show: DJ Keoni in da house
Host: Korophona
When: Unfortunately I do not know...
Times: Same as above.
What is it about?: Korophona will be providing listeners with a live DJ mix session that will include such genres as House, Dance, Jungle, Happy Hardcore among others. Definitely worth checking out!


Big apology to Korophona for not knowing when your shows are, I do not know really how to contact you.
