Could you possibly but the paint chat tutorial back up somewhere ? it was the only tutorial for how to set up a paint chat that made any sense.

Well, it all depends on what you're trying to achieve.
Simple design = sleek and modern design (the smaller the details, the sexier? lol)
Rugged design = bulky/blocky design (usually distinct when using pads and panels for your design)
I suggest doing some research with google on here on deviantART. You're bound to find something that might get you into gear and start conceptualizing
